My eyes just about popped out of their sockets when I laid eyes on that cover! Stunning, vivid and powerful,  Velvet sounds like a book after my own heart. I so adore science fiction. Sigh.

  19. I love sci-fi too, but I'm a bit wary about this title since it was compared to Carrie Ryan. I like Ryan's short stories, but not her novels (weird, I know). I agree with you on the cover - startling and cool. I'll have to check out the reviews when this releases... Great pick!
